On Audiobooks: Well, we may have summer coming, as I was able to get one of my long walks through town done yesterday. The hibernation period is over, and with that I am finally going to be able to knock off larger portions of the longest audiobook I have ever taken on. I passed the 40+ hour point of Winds of Change which means there is 22+ hours left. It is an enjoyable book, which has been trashed as WOKE by the hypersensitive among us that wants to see wokeness in everything. I hear you because there does appear to be wokeness in everything, but this book so far has not been it. The entire series has always been equal parts masculinity and femininity and men with feelings and women with strength from book one. I will admit I just passed the one part that the smarty farties point out as the earthquake of wokeness, and it made me laugh. Two effeminates who have been that way since the beginning fall in love. If that was not horrifying enough, they are different races. Oh, the humanity...

I love a good book. That may seem strange for a weight trainer, coincidentally writing this between sets like I usually do, who works over fifty hours a week to do. This takes a bit of creativity, but thanks to the world of audiobooks, it makes it a lot easier on myself and my coworkers that make up my blue collar, redneck book club. Yes, believe it or not the talk at the water coolers where I work are usually on the newest Brandon Sanderson, Larry Correia, or Micheal J. Sullivan offering, and that blue collar, redneck book club is almost twenty members now. Yes, when one of us starts a new book, the rest of basically go cart it on our smartphone and start that book next. This has been going on for years.  I get at the very least forty minutes of audiobook in the car a day, either to work, home from work, heading to Walmart, gong to the dump, etc. I get another hour or so a day with my Kindle versions of the books as well. Yes, I do both so that I know how names and places are spel...
